A Note from Nadia

Hi, and thank you so much for being here!
The recipes on Crave Your Kitchen are a reflection of my personal journey and deep commitment to living a joyful, wholesome, and well-nourished life.

In a world that’s constantly speeding up and glorifying convenience, I choose to slow down. While modern food science has its place, I believe there’s power in returning to the roots—real food, intentional cooking, and time-honored practices that bring us back to our bodies and back to the table.

My love for food started early. My mom is an incredible cook—like, truly amazing. I always preferred vegetables over meats, and by age 8, I proudly announced I was going vegetarian. Her response? “Then you cook for yourself.”
What might have sounded like tough love was actually a gift—it sparked my lifelong passion for cooking and shaped my path from a curious kid in the kitchen to a guide for others on their own food journey.

In the Kitchen, and Beyond

I embraced the freedom to make a mess—experimenting with new flavors, exploring unfamiliar ingredients, and learning to cook by doing, failing, and trying again.

As an adult, I’ve become an explorer of food in the truest sense. I’m always hungry for knowledge—drawn to the way different cultures prepare meals, and curious about the science behind how food nourishes the body. Whether I’m elbow-deep in dough, reading up on functional nutrition, or learning from a street vendor halfway across the world, every experience makes me a better cook and a better guide.

Now, I’m honored and excited to share over 20 years of lived, learned, and lovingly practiced knowledge with you.

Why focus on healthy eating?

At heart, I’m a total nerd. I love science, especially when it comes to understanding how our bodies work and how food has evolved across time and cultures.

What I’ve learned is this: feeling our best, maintaining a healthy weight, and living with more joy isn’t as complicated as it’s often made out to be. It all comes back to one thing—the food we eat. Real, nourishing food has the power to transform everything from our energy to our mood, and I’m here to help make that transformation feel simple, sustainable, and delicious.

A Turning Point: My Pregnancy Journey

Pregnancy changed everything for me. I found myself at a crossroads—stick with my strict vegan diet, or evolve my approach to better support my growing baby and changing body.

I chose to nourish myself in a new way, grounded in functional health. I added omega-rich fish, probiotic dairy, and simple, whole foods that supported hormone health, steady blood sugar, and postpartum recovery.

That experience reshaped my understanding of wellness. It wasn’t about labels—it was about listening to my body and feeding it what it truly needed.

Why I Share This With Other Mothers

Every pregnancy, baby, and postpartum journey is unique—but I truly believe the simple, nourishing changes I made can benefit every mother.

Motherhood is already full of challenges. My mission is to make food and wellness feel easier, more empowering, and deeply supportive—so more moms can feel vibrant, strong, and at home in their bodies again.

With the right guidance and a little encouragement, we all have the power to thrive. I’m here to walk alongside you and cheer you on in your own beautiful journey.
